Six Singapore partners will explore eVTOL component research with SkyDrive. Specific projects and definitive agreements remain to follow.

Component-level research may support aircraft development; performance benefits remain to be demonstrated.
Definitive agreements, funded work packages and test results.
SkyDrive announced on 29 October 2026 that it had signed a component-research MOU with six Singapore technology companies. Its photograph dates the ceremony at Marina Bay Sands to 28 October.
The participants are Accuron Technologies, Heron Airbridge, HOPE Technik, KVI, Neo Aeronautics and Volt14 Solutions. The matching Japanese release confirms the six-party partner group.
The proposed work covers lightweight metal parts, airspace-management validation, rapid prototyping, battery-charging controls, test environments and silicon-based cells. SkyDrive describes these as areas for joint research and technical evaluation.
The engineering value will depend on measurable outcomes: component mass, repeatable manufacture, battery durability and charging performance under an aircraft-relevant duty cycle. These are assessment criteria, not results reported in the announcement.
The parties intend to exchange technical information while developing definitive agreements. The release provides no quantified performance gains, project budget or delivery schedule.
A signed research memorandum establishes a collaboration framework. Aircraft certification and permission to operate services require their own evidence and approvals.
SkyDrive’s existing SD-05 program dossier tracks the aircraft separately. The next useful disclosure would identify a funded work package, test conditions and results attributable to a particular component.
