9 Oct 2026 — agreement announced 12 Oct 2026 — new independent reporting 5 seats — E20 manufacturer configuration
The partnership gives TCab a local coordination route for Malaysian market preparation while aircraft and operating approvals remain separate gates.
Malaysian certification/validation arrangements, documented regulator engagement, infrastructure plans and any firm customer agreement.
TCab Tech and Malaysia’s Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) have agreed to cooperate on E20 certification preparations, industry engagement and potential commercial applications. The agreement was announced on 9 October at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya and covered by eVTOL Insights on 12 October.
The partnership accompanies a month-long Malaysian E20 showcase. TCab also plans a Southeast Asian business centre in Malaysia, while SIDEC will support local industry and government coordination.
The E20 is a five-seat battery-electric tilt-rotor aircraft. The company is pursuing CAAC type certification and says the certification basis, means of compliance and certification plan have been agreed. Those process milestones build the compliance framework; they do not establish an issued Type Certificate.
The Malaysian cooperation concerns preparations for a future market. The disclosed agreement does not identify a confirmed aircraft purchase or a passenger-service launch date.
An aircraft’s home certification program, recognition in another jurisdiction and permission to conduct local operations are different questions. Infrastructure, operating procedures and local authority requirements will also shape any eventual deployment.
For this partnership, the next meaningful evidence is a defined Malaysian approval pathway, documented regulator engagement and a concrete operational proposal. A showcase and cooperation agreement provide a starting point for that work.
