Strengths
Volant reports that CAAC East China accepted the VE25-100 Type Certificate application in September 2023, the G-1 certification basis and project-specific certification plan were completed in April 2025, and the AC101 development-batch aircraft subsequently progressed through unrestricted free flight, piloted flight and transition testing. Current manufacturer specifications list six seats, 2,500 kg MTOW, 500 kg commercial payload, 200–400 km range and 235 km/h cruising speed.

Weaknesses / Open Questions
No VE25-100 Type Certificate has been identified. G-1, the project-specific certification plan and company-reported test milestones do not establish certification or commercial passenger service. Final configuration, system-safety compliance and performance remain subject to the CAAC record.
