Bye Aerospace is pursuing FAA Part 23 certification for eFlyer 2 and describes accepted design and test plans. In September 2026 the program received experimental airworthiness clearance to begin prototype flight testing, a development milestone distinct from type certification.
Weaknesses / Open Questions
Experimental flight authorization is not an FAA Type Certificate. The certification aircraft, compliance testing, production approval and service-entry schedule remain dependent on completion of the Part 23 program.
