DO-326B is RTCA's current Airworthiness Security Process Specification. It extends aircraft certification processes to address information-security threats that can affect aircraft safety.
Highly networked electric and VTOL aircraft combine flight controls, propulsion controls, energy management, maintenance interfaces and data links. Airworthiness security therefore becomes part of the safety case rather than a separate enterprise-IT concern.
RTCA published DO-326B in September 2024. An FAA status report dated December 2025 lists planned advisory-circular action for DO-326B in connection with the cybersecurity rule. PropulsionWatch therefore treats DO-326B as the current RTCA revision while keeping FAA adoption status separate.
