S-A2 development was reported paused in 2025 and Supernal underwent workforce reductions in early 2026. Hyundai's May 2026 KAI partnership confirms AAM development intent, but does not establish S-A2 resumption or a current schedule.
Confirm the aircraft selected for the KAI collaboration, its relationship to S-A2, and a current development and regulatory roadmap.
This record preserves Supernal's published S-A2 concept as historical configuration evidence. It does not represent a certified aircraft or establish the configuration of a newer partnership.
Eight tilting rotors provide conceptual vertical lift and forward thrust. The five-seat cabin and V-tail follow public concept material; internal overlays remain illustrative.
Reported restructuring is followed by Hyundai's May 2026 announcement of joint Supernal/KAI AAM aircraft development. The announcement does not name S-A2 as the selected design.
The historical concept addressed urban passenger transport. The old 2028 launch target is not treated as a current commitment.
Current airframe selection, configuration, certification basis and schedule require fresh primary evidence. Do not infer entry into service from a partnership memorandum.
