PT-01 full-scale assembly and ground testing are corroborated by HENSOLDT. No full-scale e200X first flight, issued Type Certificate or commercial service authorization established in this review.
Complete ground verification and obtain applicable flight-test clearances; conduct full-scale flight and transition testing, followed by certification compliance and operational approvals.
The e200X is The ePlane Company's battery-electric lift + cruise aircraft in development. It uses separate fixed vertical and forward propulsion systems rather than rotating nacelles. The legal manufacturer is Ubifly Technologies Private Limited, based in Chennai and incorporated at IIT Madras in 2019 according to its history.
PT-01 is a full-scale ground-test prototype. Flight experience on earlier e6, e50 and other technology demonstrators must not be presented as full-scale e200X flight evidence.
The manufacturer specifies six dedicated vertical rotors and four forward propellers. Official exterior views show tandem lifting surfaces, connected booms, cockpit and side glazing, and fixed landing gear. The 3D model interprets these public views; exact CAD, structural dimensions and system installations are unavailable.
Manufacturer design figures are an 8 × 11 m footprint, 110 km range and 160 km/h cruise. These are not certified performance. The displayed three-occupant arrangement refers to the published air-ambulance concept: pilot, patient and paramedic. Final taxi seating and approved payload are not established.
HENSOLDT confirms an avionics suite including EuroNav 7 NG, CaviSight, RF1 Smart Antenna, CaviConnect, EB1 and LCR100 functions. Company-described battery fault isolation and redundancy remain design claims.
HENSOLDT's 31 August 2026 disclosure corroborates completed full-scale prototype assembly and an extensive ground-test campaign ahead of flight trials and DGCA certification. A firm avionics order is a procurement milestone; it does not establish aircraft approval.
The company reports DGCA acceptance of its TC application in 2024. Its 2027–2028 certification and commercialization roadmap is a target. No independently reviewed issued e200X TC was obtained.
The planned platform addresses air taxi, medical transport and cargo. October 2026 Noida International Airport cooperation concerns infrastructure and trials; it is not operating approval. Rooftop compatibility, urban airspace access and emergency medical operations each require their own safety and regulatory work.
Remaining gates include full-scale flight testing, validated battery and thermal performance, transition control, noise, failure-mode compliance, type certification and operator/infrastructure approvals. Public imagery can establish a representative exterior, but not exact battery locations, propulsion ratings, final seating or structural certification.
