CAAC accepted the X3-F air module's Type Certificate application in March 2024 and its Production Certificate application in May 2025; neither certificate has been issued. Aridge reports more than 7,000 pre-orders and targets mass production and deliveries within 2026 from its Guangzhou factory.
Obtain CAAC type and production certification for the X3-F air module, then individual airworthiness certificates for delivered aircraft.
The Land Aircraft Carrier is a modular flying car from Aridge, the XPeng-affiliated company formerly known as XPeng AeroHT. It pairs a two-seat battery-electric multirotor air module (codename X3-F) with a six-wheel range-extended electric ground vehicle that stows and recharges the aircraft.
The program is in CAAC certification. No Type Certificate has been issued.
The air module uses distributed electric propulsion and supports manual and autonomous flight modes, with a two-seat cabin. The ground vehicle uses an 800 V extended-range electric platform, carries the aircraft and recharges it for multiple flights.
Detailed air-module performance figures are reported only by single secondary sources and are not used as structured data.
CAAC's Central and Southern Regional Administration accepted the X3-F Type Certificate application on 26 March 2024, and CAAC accepted the Production Certificate application in May 2025. The first pilot production batch was completed at the Guangzhou factory in November 2025.
In April 2026 the company reported more than 7,000 pre-orders. In July 2026 CnEVPost reported Aridge among a first batch of companies eligible for simplified CAAC eVTOL certification procedures, but could not locate the original CAAC document.
The product targets private buyers, priced under 2 million yuan, with flying intended at designated sites. Pre-orders are company-reported and are not firm deliveries.
The open gates are CAAC type and production certification, individual airworthiness approval, and the operating framework for private flying-car use. The 2026 delivery target depends on those approvals.
