Battery-electric tilt-propeller eVTOL using vertical takeoff and wing-borne cruise; final certification-system detail is only partly public.

Redundancy Approach
Distributed electric propulsion is evident from the configuration; aircraft-specific certified redundancy detail remains insufficiently public.
Range / Speed
Manufacturer-published current figures: 200 km range and 230 km/h cruise speed for the AE200 series; figures are reported under test conditions and are not certified performance.

AE200-100 remains in active CAAC type certification. Aerofugia reports that the first production-intent aircraft rolled out in September 2025 and completed first-stage verification flying in December 2025. The company continues to target 2026–2027 for Type Certificate completion; no issued Type Certificate has been identified.
Complete the remaining CAAC conformity and compliance-verification program on the production-intent AE200-100 configuration and obtain the regulator's findings of compliance.
AE200-100 is Aerofugia’s six-seat battery-electric eVTOL for passenger transport. The aircraft uses tilting propulsors for vertical flight and wing-borne cruise.
PropulsionWatch classifies the program as certification-stage and PRE-EIS. Public flight demonstrations and transition flights are development evidence, not approval.
Available first-party evidence supports a six-seat, winged, tilt-propeller configuration. Public detail is not sufficient to state the final propulsion-unit count, battery topology or certification-level redundancy architecture without qualification.
Manufacturer performance numbers are therefore treated as targets rather than certified capability.
Aerofugia states that the AE200-100 certification project began after its Type Certificate application was accepted in 2022. The company reported completion of the full-scale, full-weight transition-flight test program in June 2024 and later defined a production-intent configuration.
The first production-intent AE200-100 rolled out in September 2025 and completed first-stage verification flying in December 2025. Aerofugia is also progressing a parallel Production Certificate process; approval of production-quality-system documentation is a PC-process milestone, not issuance of a Production Certificate. The company continues to state a 2026–2027 Type Certificate target.
Aerofugia positions AE200-100 for urban and regional passenger missions. Demonstrations and customer or ecosystem agreements do not establish commercial service.
The decisive remaining evidence is the CAAC-approved certification configuration and completed compliance record. Conformity, systems safety, propulsion and battery qualification, production approval and operating permissions remain separate dependencies.
Manufacturer AE200-100 program page — reviewed 19 Sep 2026: 3–6 seats, 200 km maximum range, 230 km/h cruise speed, certification chronology, September 2025 production-intent rollout and December 2025 first-stage verification flight. Source.
Manufacturer PC-process update — 7 Aug 2025: production-quality-system documents approved by the PC review team; production-system trial operation and on-site review remained subsequent steps. Source.
Evidence boundary: the 2026–2027 Type Certificate timing is a company target; verification flights and PC document review are not Type Certificate or Production Certificate issuance.
